Summer Camp Programs
     

Summer Camp registration opens to the public in March 2009.

Capitol School of Austin offers a fun and enriching learning experience for children identified as having speech, language and learning differences, pre-school through 3rd grade. Language and academic skills will be taught through theme-based activities. Hours for the camp are 9:00-1:00 p.m. Monday - Friday.

Dates and costs for this summer's camp will be set in February 2009. Please send an email to Tami and we'll make sure you receive the information when it becomes available.

 
     
  Summer Camps  

Preschool – This language intensive program will focus on developing vocabulary and concepts related to each week's theme. Children ready for group activities will benefit from these language-based classes. This camp is appropriate for children ages two to five years, who are entering preschool this fall.

 
     

School Age - This class is designed for children who are in kindergarten. Appropriate pre-reading, reading, and math skills will be interwoven into art, science, cooking and literature activities.

 
     

Lower-Ratio - This program utilizes principles of applied behavior analysis and verbal behavior. Students receive both 1:1 and small group instruction.

 
   
  Important Dates  
 

February 16, 2009 - Enrollment begins for Capitol School families.
March 2, 2009 - Enrollment opens to the public.
April 1, 2009 - Full payment due to guarantee a spot

 
     
  Camp Admissions  
 

Families that are new to Capitol School will need to submit a Capitol School application packet, which includes:

  1. Application,
  2. Case History, and
  3. Copies of current speech, OT, and educational evaluations.

The admissions committee will schedule a classroom visit for your child before the start of camp to ensure appropriate placement. To request an application packet, please complete the online intake form or call the school office at (512) 467-7006.

Current Capitol School families need only submit a camp application.
