Tuition & Fees 2025-26 - Capitol School of Austin

Application Processing Fees – $250

Initial Application – $50 – This one-time, non-refundable fee is for all new students applying for admission to Capitol School of Austin for review of application.

Screening Fee – $50 – If recommended, a one-on-one informal screening will be conducted to determine if a classroom visit is appropriate.

Classroom Visit – $200 – If recommended, a classroom visit will be scheduled for 1-3 days to determine if/what classroom placement is appropriate. An admissions committee will observe the child during this visit to make recommendations. If a screening took place, the classroom visit fee will be $150. Total admissions fees will not exceed $250.

Annual Registration Fee $75

The annual non-refundable registration fee of $75 is due at the time of registration with the signed registration form.

Deposit – Equal to 1 Month Tuition

A deposit of one month’s tuition is required May 1, 2025 or upon registration after May 1st. Deposits represent your financial commitment to Capitol School for the school year, and allow us to make staffing and budgeting decisions for the year. Deposits are non-refundable. The deposit is applied to May 2026 tuition.

Pre-paid Tuition – Equal to 1 Month Tuition

A deposit of one month’s tuition is required upon registration. The deposit represents your financial commitment to Capitol School for the school year and allows us to make staffing and budgeting decisions for the year. The deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE. The deposit is applied to May 2025 tuition installment. Therefore, once paid, monthly installments are due through April 1st.

Supply/Specials Fee – $1,525

The annual Supply/Special Areas fee of $1,525 is for student materials, supplies, field trips and Special Area programs and is due upon registration. Special Areas vary by level, but may include group occupational therapy, music, library, drama, art, or physical education.

Annual Tuition

Tuition and fees for the academic school year are set by Capitol School of Austin’s Board of Directors. Tuition payments are due monthly on the first of every month. Note: There is a discount for paying the year in full.

*Rates do not include application fees and are based on payment by direct bank draft. There is a 1% discount on the tuition amount (only) if paid in full. Tuition insurance is optional if tuition and fees are paid in full.

Monthly Installment Plan – for families who enroll prior to August 1. The ten installments are: 1-month deposit (due upon enrollment) and nine remaining installments due August 1, 2024 – April 1, 2025.
For families who enroll after August 1, the 1-month deposit, first-month installment, and tuition insurance (prorated as needed) will be due the first of the month in which you enroll through April 1, 2025.

PEER MODELS

Capitol School of Austin enrolls neuro-typically developing children who are siblings of enrolled students, children of staff, and children from the neighborhoods around Capitol School. Peer models benefit from our multi-sensory, language-rich program and also serve as language models for the classroom. Peer models receive progress reports but do not receive an individual treatment plan (ITP), insurance receipts, or clinical notes. Peer models must exhibit age-appropriate speech, language, behavioral and emotional skills.

CHILDREN’S THERAPY CENTER

Capitol School of Austin offers the following individual therapy:

Individual Speech Therapy	$105 per session
Individual OT	$125 per session
Individual Reading Tutoring (ALT)	$80 per session

Sessions are 50 minutes in duration unless otherwise noted
