About Me
Jane has a Bachelor’s Degree in journalism/advertising from Louisiana State University. She received her teaching certification through the University of Arizona. She has Texas certifications in grades 1 through 8 and also in ESL and Technology Education. She is a Nationally Board Certified teacher.
This is Jane’s first year at Capitol School of Austin. She has previously taught grades 3 – 6 in Arizona, Kindergarten literacy and 3rd grade in New Hampshire and grades 2 – 5 in Texas. She taught at Summit Elementary in Austin for 18 years.
Jane and her husband Bill have a blended family with her 2 sons and his daughter. Her parents and aunt also live in Austin, so she celebrates with family a lot. She and her husband enjoy traveling and fishing. Jane is an avid reader and enjoys pilates and long walks.
