Jessica Epstein M.S., SLP
Preschool Speech Language Support Teacher
About Me
Jessica received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Texas at Dallas. Jessica grew up in Dallas and moved to Austin in 1997. She moved back to Dallas for school and the returned to Austin as soon as she was done! Her very first job as an SLP was in Level 2 at Capitol School, and she also taught Levels 1 and 2. When she was in Level 1, her class was the turtles, and they had a mascot: a Russian Tortoise called Mr. Pickles! Language acquisition and development are her favorite aspects of the field of speech language pathology. It makes her happy to help children learn to communicate their wants and needs and watch them make the connection that they can use language to shape their own environment across settings.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Josh, watching her daughter Grayson cheer and watching her son, James, play all the sports! When not at work, you can find her at the barn with her horses, Rhett and Gunnar.
