Other Ways to Help
Scholarship Fund/Tuition Assistance Program
Although tuition at CSA is in line with other low-ratio, non-profit schools for children with special needs, the school recognizes that many families cannot afford the program. For this reason, there is an established tuition assistance program administered by the CSA Board of Directors.
The program is designed for families who earn below Austin-area median incomes. Awards up to 50% of tuition and are based on three criteria:
- A family’s financial situation, including income and cash assets
- The needs of other families applying for assistance
- The amount of funds available for tuition assistance (since the tuition assistance program is funded by private donations and varies from year to year)
Scholarships are partially funded through the CSA endowment fund, which is funded by private donations, foundation support, or a percentage of the CSA yearly operating budget, whenever possible. This is a major area of need of the school. To donate to our scholarship program, click on the Give Now button above and indicate “Scholarship Fund” on the memo line.
